assesement #3 Blog Post

Hi gang

I just wanted to let you all know about what I have accomplished this semester!

Well…  I have uploaded many images of friends and I to an account called flickr. I like flickr because it keeps all your photos safe and shareable with the entire world, how cool is that! So I don’t forget flickr’s url I have saved it along with many other url’s in an account called delicious. Delicious can save as many important and crucial url’s so that they can be revisited again and again, much like my very own web page! That’s right, I have created my own webpage using an application called iweb. Its about everything I like so go check it out. Actually there is a link to it on my blogger account. There is lots of great stuff on my blogger to be truthful. I know how to blog with words, photos and movies, what a variety!

Blogger

Through the use of blogger I created 12 new posts that all include my interest of kneeboarding. I showed this in my posts through movie clips, links using the href coding, and images of my friends and I kneeboarding.

On my blog, I use a pre made template but I have changed the background and the text colours to suite my taste. I changed the font of my text also to match my personal style. I have added gadgets including a links bar, a home tab, and a fishpond for viewers to play with and a page view counter that I dream will one day reach 100 views. I enjoyed looking at other classmate’s blogs to learn about their interests and hobbies. Commenting on them gave me a wild thrill, much like that a bull rider would get. Here are a couple of links of my comments on class member’s blogs.

Because my blog focuses on my interest of kneeboarding, that was one of my popular tags with another tag being photography as I took the majority of the photos on my blog.

Some other work in my blogger is becoming a follower of other people’s blogs.

Delicious

In my delicious account I have stored 12 new bookmarks including my own web page so I can easily re visit my favorite and most used web pages. These were selected because I’m interested in kneeboarding, because I enjoy following my friends blogs and because I love reading build threads.

I enjoyed Flickr because pictures tell a thousand words. I uploaded 12 new images that best show my interests, hobbies and activities.

i truly believe i will use the skills i have learnt to create many more webpages. i have added links, images and other goodies to create a truly professional product.

While surfing the net i came across an online kneeboarding magazine in the form of a blog. it is filled with lots of great footage, pics and interviews of some of the best kneeboarders in the world! ENJOY :)

assessment #2 Blog Post

For assessment number two I created a website about my world witch mainly covered my main interest of kneeboarding. I created this website through the use of a tool called I web. I web helped me to begin with a simple layout that I could then change and manipulate to make my own. I executed this by changing such things as fonts, text colours, background styles, images and information. My web page consisted of four linked pages. a welcome page, about me page, my boards page and a slide show page of kneeboarding. Within my website I added working links to three kneeboarding sites that could keep any kneeboarding fan busy for days. And if that wasn't enough I also added links to my private blogger, flickr and delicious accounts. Once my web design and information was up to par I then uploaded it to the Internet using a program called fetch. I really enjoyed this assesement and learnt some great new skills. I hope to make more websites for friends and family in the future.
